The Scam Problem: How Bad Is It?

One of Aipplify's core missions is detecting fraudulent job postings. Our AI flagged 8.3% of all postings as suspicious β€” down from 12.1% in 2025, a meaningful improvement.

Common Red Flags Detected

Red FlagFrequencySeverity
No company website or verifiable presence3.2%High
Salary significantly above market (bait)2.1%Medium
Vague job description (< 50 words)1.8%Medium
Request for upfront payment or crypto deposit0.7%Critical
Impersonating known company0.5%Critical
Warning: 0.7% of postings (approximately 107 listings) requested some form of upfront payment. If any "employer" asks you to send crypto, purchase equipment through their link, or pay for training β€” it's a scam. Always verify through official company career pages.

Hiring Velocity: How Fast Are Companies Hiring?

  • Average time from posting to close: 23 days (down from 31 in 2025)
  • Fastest-hiring sector: DeFi protocols (15 days average)
  • Slowest-hiring sector: Enterprise blockchain (38 days average)
  • Percentage of jobs still open after 60 days: 12%

AI Quality Score Distribution

Our AI scores every job from 0 to 10. Here's the distribution:

Industry Predictions for 2026–2027

Based on our data trends, we project:

  1. AI Agent roles will triple β€” from 5% to 15%+ of all AI job postings
  2. Solidity demand will plateau β€” as multi-chain and Rust-based chains grow
  3. Average salaries will increase 8–12% β€” driven by talent scarcity in AI
  4. Remote-first will become default β€” exceeding 75% of all postings
  5. Scam rate will drop below 5% β€” as AI detection improves industry-wide

What This Means for Job Seekers

  • Invest in Python + one specialized skill (Solidity, Rust, or ML frameworks)
  • Learn AI agent development β€” it's the fastest-growing niche
  • Use AI-scored platforms like Aipplify to filter out low-quality postings
  • Target remote positions β€” they pay 10–15% more on average
  • Build a verifiable portfolio β€” GitHub, deployed projects, audit reports

What This Means for Employers

  • Salary transparency matters β€” postings with visible salaries get 3.2x more applications
  • Detailed descriptions win β€” postings scoring 8+ on Aipplify get 2.8x more qualified candidates
  • Speed is competitive advantage β€” top candidates accept offers within 10 days
  • Remote-first expands your pool β€” access talent in LATAM and APAC at competitive rates
