Accounting Associate

Join Pantera Capital as an Accounting Associate to support management companies with full accounting cycle tasks. Ideal for candidates with 2-5 years of experience in accounting. Pantera manages $3.5bn across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – exclusively focused on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem.

• •Review, process, and record vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other accounting transactions accurately and timely
• •Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
• •Perform bank, cash, prepaid, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities and systems
• •Track outstanding payables, payment support, and cash activity
• •Work with large data sets and assist with consolidating accounting data across multiple systems and reports
• •Maintain and understand general ledgers for management companies and related entities
• •Assist with quarterly financial reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting functions
• •Research and help resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliation differences with guidance from the management team members
• •Support annual audits, tax return preparation, and informative returns
• •Assist with ad hoc accounting and operational projects as assigned while taking ownership and support operational needs across multiple areas when needed
