Securities Accounting
- β’Manage accounting operations for a regulated securities business
- β’Perform accounting for securities transactions and customer assets
- β’Calculate, monitor, and validate the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR)
- β’Support the development of capital plans and capital strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- β’Partner with management and global teams on capital management and regulatory capital optimization
- β’Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to the Financial Services Agency (FSA), Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA), and other regulatory bodies
- β’Support accounting and finance activities related to regulatory compliance requirements
General Accounting and Finance
- β’Manage general accounting operations for the corporate entity
- β’Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- β’Oversee payment operations, including invoice processing and employee expense reimbursements
- β’Manage cash flow and treasury activities
- β’Prepare financial statements and supporting accounting schedules
Other Responsibilities
- β’Support accounting system implementation and migration projects
- β’Provide accounting and financial support for new product and service launches
- β’Contribute to the improvement and standardization of accounting operations in collaboration with the global finance team

Must-Haves
- β’Hands-on accounting experience within a securities firm
- β’Hands-on general accounting experience within a corporate environment
- β’Experience managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- β’Knowledge of financial accounting and management accounting principles
- β’Knowledge of, or practical experience with, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) calculations and regulatory capital requirements
- β’Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
- β’Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- β’Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
