Description
What you'll do
- •Managing the day-to-day Fixed Income Ops workflow, primarily working with the repo desk.
- •Mitigating credit risk by monitoring Treasury and MBS exposure.
- •Oversee trade monitoring and reconciliation of repo positions.
- •Ensure Repo trading activity is accurately imported into the back-office system.
- •Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties.
- •Optimize end-of-day balances at BMO and BNY banks.
- •Maintain and update financial records.
- •Support with MBS rolls, pairoffs, and confirming trades.
- •Verify GCF trade details and reconcile them with DTCC records.
- •Contribute to projects focused on optimizing trade workflows.
Requirements
- •4+ years of Fixed Income experience in the financial markets industry.
- •Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- •Experience with Excel required; VBA, SQL, and/or Python preferred.
- •High level of critical thinking and strong communication skills.
- •Proven track record of success in team settings and independently.
- •Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- •Understanding of broader business context.
- •Expected start time of 7am ET, with potential coverage as early as 6am ET.
- •SIE and Series 7 or willingness to obtain within first year.
