Group Product Manager, Compliance Automation

Expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.” The Product Foundations team within Coinbase's product group builds the systems that protect Coinbase, our customers, and the broader crypto ecosystem, powering identity verification, money movement, and regulatory compliance across every jurisdiction.

• •Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for Coinbase's Compliance Automation platform, covering sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity detection, and risk-based compliance workflows.
• •Lead a team of PMs to define, prioritize, and deliver AI/ML-powered capabilities that reduce manual compliance effort, increase detection accuracy, and scale compliance operations across jurisdictions.
• •Drive significant cost optimization by identifying and executing automation opportunities across one of Coinbase's largest operational cost centers, without increasing regulatory risk.
• •Partner with Compliance, Legal, Trust & Risk, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure automation systems meet regulatory requirements while enabling product velocity.
• •Shape the integration of emerging AI/ML technologies to strengthen compliance detection, reduce false positive rates, and accelerate case resolution.
• •Build and maintain relationships with regulatory and compliance stakeholders, translating evolving regulatory requirements into actionable product capabilities.

• •Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
• •Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $243,865—$286,900 USD.
