Description
What you'll do
- โขBuild and execute Securitize's federal and state government relations strategy, with particular focus on the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, Treasury, and key Congressional committees (Banking, Finance, Agriculture)
- โขCultivate and manage trusted, long-term relationships with regulators, legislative staff, trade associations, and policy think tanks
- โขServe as a credible educator for policymakers and regulators โ helping them understand how tokenization and blockchain-based financial infrastructure can integrate constructively with existing regulatory frameworks in ways that benefit markets and investors
- โขMonitor, analyze, and brief leadership on regulatory and legislative developments affecting tokenized securities, digital asset infrastructure, and private markets โ flagging both risks and opportunities
- โขSupport and/or represent Securitize in public comment processes, congressional testimony, roundtables, and industry working groups
- โขDevelop and communicate clear policy positions, advocacy materials, comment letters, and thought leadership content in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Communications; represent Securitize at industry conferences and in the media on policy topics
- โขManage external lobbying counsel and coordinate coalition activity across industry stakeholders; evaluate and potentially lead the formation of or participation in industry trade groups or coalitions where Securitize's voice can drive outcomes
- โขPartner with Product and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements and emerging policy trends into operational guidance and product roadmap input
- โขAdvise the President and executive leadership on emerging regulatory risks and opportunities, ensuring Securitize is proactively โ not reactively โ positioned for shifts in the policy landscape

Requirements
- โข10+ years in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, with meaningful experience in financial services, fintech, or digital assets
- โขEstablished relationships with senior staff at the SEC, CFTC, Treasury, and/or relevant Congressional offices
- โขUnderstanding of U.S. securities law, AML/BSA frameworks, and emerging digital asset regulatory proposals (Clarity Act, stablecoin legislation, tokenization guidance)
- โขA track record of educating and influencing policymakers on complex or innovative financial technologies
- โขExperience building or leading a government relations function โ developing strategy, setting priorities, and managing external counsel and coalition partners
- โขExceptional written and verbal communication โ you can write a comment letter, a board brief, and congressional testimony with equal credibility, and you can make complex regulatory concepts accessible to non-experts
- โขComfort operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where you can build effective structure and process
