Overview

Join Mercuryo as the Head of US / Country Manager to lead and grow the US business in the fintech and crypto ecosystem. Drive commercial growth while ensuring regulatory compliance in a remote-first environment. Hi! We’re Mercuryo, and we’re on a mission to redefine finance by blending the best of traditional banking with the power of decentralized finance (DeFi). We believe everyone deserves seamless access to Web3 and traditional financial services, so we’re building the platform that makes it real: one that simplifies crypto and integrates it into the broader financial ecosystem. Since launching in 2018, we’ve grown into a recognized force in the industry, named one of Europe’s Fastest-Growing Startups 2025 by Sifted and awarded Best Crypto On-Ramp & Payments Solution 2025 by Cryptonomist. We’ve partnered with leading brands including Visa, Mastercard, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, and Jupiter, powering over 200 products and collaborating directly with major ecosystems like Solana, Consensys, and BNB Chain.

Your Role

  • •US Strategy & Growth: Define and execute Mercuryo’s US strategy in alignment with global leadership. Identify growth opportunities across on/off-ramp, payments, cards, and embedded finance. Build a strong pipeline of strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth. Monitor market trends, competition, and customer demand.
  • •Commercial Expansion: Lead US new business acquisition across merchants, exchanges, wallets, fintechs, and ecosystem partners. Build executive relationships, negotiate complex deals, and drive commercial expansion. Represent Mercuryo at major industry events and strategic meetings.
  • •Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central leader for US priorities across Product, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Support, and BD. Create clear ownership, remove blockers, and drive execution. Ensure the US organization operates as one Mercuryo, with no disconnect from global teams.
  • •Regulatory & Operational Leadership: Build trusted relationships with regulators, banking partners, legal advisors, and key stakeholders. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk on evolving US regulatory requirements, including Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs), state licensing, and digital asset frameworks. Oversee operational scaling, governance, vendor management, and process efficiency.
  • •Performance & Leadership: Own US KPIs, budget, and performance reporting. Track growth, revenue, operational, and risk metrics. Build a high-performance culture with strong ownership and accountability.

What We Offer

  • •Competitive market rate salary and performance-based incentives.
  • •22 days annual leave with an additional 6 company days, plus bank holidays.
  • •Comprehensive health insurance plans.
  • •Extensive benefits program.
  • •Flexible work schedule and remote work options.
  • •Modern offices and co-working spaces across 6 countries.
  • •Working equipment.
  • •Professional development and training opportunities.
  • •Opportunity to shape the initiatives you’re working on.
  • •Diverse and friendly team. We are open-minded to new ideas.

What We’re Looking For

  • •10+ years of experience in fintech, crypto, banking, payments, or financial services.
  • •5+ years in a senior leadership role with ownership over revenue, strategy, or market expansion.
  • •Strong understanding of the US crypto, payments, and regulatory landscape.
  • •Proven track record of scaling businesses, markets, or business units.
  • •Strong commercial instincts with demonstrated success in enterprise sales or strategic partnerships.
  • •Experience working in highly cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
  • •Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • •Ability to influence without direct authority across distributed teams.
  • •Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from scratch.
  • •Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
