Join Impossible Cloud as an In-House Legal Counsel in Hamburg. Advise on legal matters including M&A, venture capital, and employment law while working in a fast-growing B2B cloud company. Impossible Cloud is a fast-growing B2B cloud company headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. We have built a cloud object storage solution comparable to AWS S3, purpose-built and optimised for AI and compute workloads. Our commercial hyper-growth speaks for itself, powered by our channel-first go-to-market strategy. We are now expanding beyond storage: we are building a high-performance compute platform, offering an end-to-end solution from GPU infrastructure to full GPU platform software stack. In doing so, we are redefining the cloud ecosystem by bridging the gap between decentralised infrastructure (DePIN), mainstream B2B cloud use cases, and AI applications.
What You Will Do
- •Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with enterprise customers, resellers, and technology partners, balancing deal speed with risk exposure.
- •Advise on venture capital transactions, including term sheets, financing round documentation, and cap table matters, working closely with founders and external counsel.
- •Own employment law matters across the full lifecycle, from contracts and policies to terminations and works council topics under German law.
- •Build and maintain scalable contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal processes that reduce turnaround time as deal volume grows.
- •Advise founders and department leads directly on legal risk in day-to-day commercial decisions, translating complex legal questions into clear business guidance.

What You Bring
- •Professional experience in commercial and corporate law, gained in-house or at a law firm, with direct exposure to contract negotiation, venture capital, or M&A transactions.
- •A track record of handling German employment law matters independently, from drafting contracts to advising on terminations and restructurings.
- •Successfully completed First State Examination (Erstes Staatsexamen) with strong marks, or equivalent qualification to practice law in Germany.
- •Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving environment, making sound judgment calls without waiting for a large legal department to weigh in.
- •AI-native working style, using AI tools to draft, review, and research faster. This is a baseline expectation at Impossible Cloud, not a differentiator.
- •Professional proficiency in German and English, since you will work across contracts, negotiations, and internal advice in both languages.
