Description

Responsibilities

  • โ€ขDevelop information security architecture for backup and DRP systems โ€” on-prem and cloud
  • โ€ขBuild threat models and loss scenarios, including 'black swans', and propose engineering, not administrative, solutions
  • โ€ขCoordinate solutions with infrastructure, operations, security, and business teams while protecting the architecture from dilution
  • โ€ขParticipate in vendor selection, tools, and implementation of best practices like Zero Trust, Immutable backups, Air gap, and other concepts
  • โ€ขWork with storage systems and distributed computing, clusters, virtualization, containers, hypervisors, etc.
  • โ€ขConduct regular technical reviews, GAP analysis, and stress tests of existing solutions

Requirements

Requirements

  • โ€ขYou have at least 3 years of experience in designing security architectures, preferably in Backup, Restore, DR, HA areas
  • โ€ขExperience in building DRP strategies and conducting real DR tests
  • โ€ขDeep understanding of the technical aspects of server architecture: file systems, network interactions, storage architecture, snapshot, deduplication, and encryption technologies
  • โ€ขKnowledge of standards and practices: NIST SP 800-34, ISO/IEC 27031, CIS Controls, and analogs
  • โ€ขAbility to argue constructively, acknowledge others' correctness, and insist on your own when necessary
  • โ€ขKnowledge of Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault, Dell EMC Avamar/DataDomain architectures is a plus, as well as understanding backup nuances in container environments โ€” Kubernetes, OpenShift
  • โ€ขPractical experience in organizing protection against ransomware and insider threats in the context of backups is a plus
