A Typical Day

  • β€’Effectively manage and oversee day-to-day operations for queue management, staffing needs and scheduling.
  • β€’Maintain subject matter expertise and handle escalated and/or urgent cases or issues when necessary.
  • β€’Track Core Operations metrics.
  • β€’Advise on best practices; coach, mentor, and develop a partner team through leaders/trainers on the partner side.
  • β€’Be approachable in your leadership by creating an open environment.
  • β€’Visualize and facilitate long-term initiatives and new strategies, best practices, or processes to improve Core Operations metrics.
  • β€’Hold self accountable for individual or team goals specific to the function.
  • β€’Identify, recommend, and implement tool, system, process, or policy changes to improve team performance.
  • β€’Delegate and prioritize effectively to ensure that individual or team time is focused on high-impact needs.
  • β€’Ability to quickly define a problem or challenge, evaluate potential solutions and execute an effective decision.
  • β€’Lead procedure and workflow changes that may impact multiple teams and/or regions with the support of your manager.
  • β€’Accurately identify and escalate compliance risks and opportunities to the Payments Management.
  • β€’Lead projects to simplify relatively complex operational problems within diverse cross-functional groups.
  • β€’Respond to real time queries on the channel.
  • β€’Be the ambassador of Airbnb Culture and Values.

  • β€’The base pay range shown below is annualized, is inclusive of allowances and is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
  • β€’This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentives, one or more equity programs, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
  • β€’India Annual Pay Range β‚Ή1,370,000 β€” β‚Ή1,950,000 INR.

Your Expertise

  • β€’Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Equivalent.
  • β€’Risk operations experience in fraud prevention, risk mitigation, chargebacks, dispute management and pre-arbitration.
  • β€’8+ years of overall experience with some experience in managing teams.
  • β€’3+ years of hands-on experience in fraud prevention, risk mitigation, chargebacks, dispute management and pre-arbitration.
  • β€’Strong systems thinker.
  • β€’Superior communication skills both written and verbal.
  • β€’Ability to gather objective information and make a subjective determination and be able to defend that determination both verbally and textually.
  • β€’Strong ability to think clearly and rationally in order to understand logical connections between various data points.
  • β€’Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis in adaptability and resilience.
  • β€’Ability to clearly articulate compliance requirements to a non-compliance audience.
  • β€’Ability to work closely and build trust with management, your team and other teams.
  • β€’Exceptional organization and process management ability.
  • β€’High level of personal integrity, interest in payments as evidenced by related work experience, proven dedication to excellence, leadership qualities and a flexible, creative, innovative approach to problem solving.
  • β€’Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • β€’Familiarity with SQL and data querying skills is a huge preference!
