Overview

Seeking a Senior Python Developer for Control Plane in a network OS. Flexible work options available: remote or office.

Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement network OS functions related to Control Plane as auxiliary services, such as:
  • •Synchronizing various states between network devices (e.g., MC-LAG)
  • •Implementing API and CLI for accessing specific network functions of the device (REST API, Netconf, gNMI)
  • •Fix bugs and improve system performance
  • •Collaborate with developers from other blocks, e.g., Data Plane
  • •Monitor industry developments and trends to implement market-relevant features in our product
  • •Participate in planning the development of the final product (roadmap)

Requirements

  • •Experience in programming with Python
  • •Understanding of Linux operating systems architecture, ability to delve into code (e.g., Linux kernel) for better comprehension of related components
  • •Principles of building network infrastructures and functioning protocols (Ethernet, IP, control plane protocols BGP, OSPF)
  • •Experience with CLI of network devices is a plus

Nice to Have

  • •Experience in developing and maintaining solutions with high reliability requirements
  • •Experience in developing services (daemons) in a Linux environment
  • •Working with code in SCM systems (Git, GitLab)
  • •Applying DevOps and CI/CD approaches
