What you'll do
- •Provide comprehensive legal and regulatory support to local business teams in Korea, including general legal advice, contract review, and negotiation assistance across a broad range of legal areas such as local commercial law, corporate law, labor law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- •Proactively identify regulatory and legal risks, propose solutions, and anticipate support needs to deliver strategic and practical legal guidance to local teams.
- •Monitor, interpret, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Korean laws, regulations, and regulatory developments relevant to the business, providing strategic advice to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- •Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, providing holistic risk assessments and recommendations that balance business objectives with regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- •Lead the development, implementation, and management of local legal and compliance programs, including ongoing regulatory strategy and engagement with Korean regulatory authorities.
- •Support internal stakeholders in regulatory filings, licensing, and responding to regulatory inquiries or investigations in Korea.
