The Department: Finance
The Finance and Accounting Teams at Gemini are thought leaders in the digital asset accounting and reconciliation space. Our mandate is to bridge the traditional world of finance with the innovation of cryptocurrency products, providing our clients with a best-in-class financial institution experience.
Responsibilities
- •Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close
- •Account for digital asset transactions, customer custodial funds, revenue recognition and other areas
- •Analyze fluctuations and trends in financial statement line items and provide insightful commentary
- •Assist with the preparation of annual and quarterly footnote disclosures
- •Support internal and external audit requests, providing timely documentation and analyses
- •Identify process improvements and help implement scalable accounting practices
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and account for new transaction types
- •Contribute to special projects, as needed

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $92,400 - $132,000 in the State of New York. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
Requirements
Qualifications
- •An undergraduate degree in accounting, economics, finance or related field
- •3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or industry experience
- •Big 4 accounting firm experience is a plus
- •CPA (or equivalent license)
- •Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- •Experience with fintech, digital assets, financial services a strong plus (but not required)
- •Experience managing numerous competing deliverables
- •Proven track record of meeting deadlines and ownership of complex areas
- •Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and changing financial environment
- •Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
