Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Join Remote as a Senior Backend Engineer to lead major projects and build tools, APIs, and integrations using Elixir and Phoenix.

## What you'll do

• •Lead the development of major team-scoped projects.
• •Participate in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• •Provide feedback and suggest solutions to problems.
• •Maintain a good understanding of the team’s domain.
• •Provide feedback on code reviews.
• •Contribute to the shared codebase.
• •Debug and solve technical and business issues.
• •Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers.
• •Investigate and propose improvements to our platform.
• •Implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.
• •Redesign engineering work with autonomous agents.
• •Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives.
