Senior Software Engineer, Blockchain Protocols

The Protocols team delivers high-quality, low-latency blockchain datasets that serve as the trusted foundation for Chainalysis’ investigation, compliance, data and security products. We currently support more than 30 blockchains, translating on-chain data into actionable intelligence.

• •Architect and evolve scalable, reliable, and performant systems for ingesting and parsing complex blockchain data.
• •Leverage AI-native engineering workflows (LLMs, automated agents) to increase team velocity and code quality.
• •Provide blockchain protocol expertise (EVM, UTXO, etc.) to the team and cross-functional stakeholders.
• •Manage the full software development lifecycle, including production monitoring, debugging, and maintaining reliability of our pipelines and services.
• •Work closely with Product Managers to ensure our datasets meet the evolving needs of the crypto ecosystem.
• •Guide junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design docs, and technical mentorship.

• •5+ years of experience building distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
• •A bias to ship and the ability to iterate quickly in a fast-moving environment.
• •Demonstrated ability to leverage AI assisted development tools to increase velocity while maintaining reliable, maintainable code.
• •A deep understanding and experience of at least one Blockchain protocol.

• •Knowledge and experience with non-EVM chains such as Solana, TON, and Sui.
• •Experience with indexing and ETL at scale (Spark/Databricks).
• •Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and managing services in Kubernetes.
• •Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
