Join Entain as a Senior Test Engineer focused on mobile applications. Contribute to innovative sports betting products and ensure software quality through rigorous testing. This role is for Angstrom Sports, a proprietary sports pricing and product provider, building intricate, simulation driven pricing and risk systems to support the success of key sports brands across the Entain group. Founded in 2018 and having established itself as a pioneer in player-level, play-by-play simulations and forecasting, Angstrom was acquired by Entain in 2023. Key responsibilities
- •Test Mobile Applications: Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing of mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms
- •Test AWS Backend Services: Perform functional testing of AWS backend services, including APIs, serverless applications, databases, and event-driven workflows
- •Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, communicate issues clearly to the development team
- •Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using tools such as Detox
- •Cross-Platform Testing: Ensure mobile applications work across various devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and resolutions
- •Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and define test plans
- •Performance Testing: Conduct load and stress testing to evaluate the mobile app’s performance under various conditions
- •Test Coverage: Define and ensure comprehensive test coverage to identify potential vulnerabilities or usability issues in the app
- •Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies, test strategies, and the overall development process

Qualifications
- •Experience: Proven experience as a Mobile Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer, with hands-on experience testing mobile applications, Test Engineer with front end engineering and testing experience.
- •Technical Skills: Experience in manual testing and test case creation
- •Strong knowledge of Android and iOS platforms
- •Strong knowledge of testing AWS serverless backend architectures
- •Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Detox
- •Understanding of mobile application life cycles, including debugging, profiling, and memory management
- •Knowledge of continuous integration (CI) and continuous testing processes
- •Testing Tools: Experience with tools like Jira & Xray or similar e.g. TestRail
- •Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document defects and work with cross-functional teams
- •Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
- •Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- •Familiarity with cloud-based device farm testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, Browser Stack, AWS)
- •Nice to Have: Industry experience: US Sports, IGaming, Gambling; Passion for Sports and a strong interest in the industry; Enthusiasm for Emerging Technologies; Drive to Make an Impact in a fast-growing, innovative business.
