SME Compliance Lawyer

We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and detail-oriented SME Compliance Lawyer to join our Legal & Compliance team. If you’re passionate about compliance, risk assessment, and regulatory standards and want to contribute to a strong AML/CFT compliance framework within the fastest growing digital bank in Mexico, this role is for you.

• •Own the day-to-day management of incoming legal and compliance requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and well-documented responses.
• •Supervise the decision making process of analysts regarding the onboarding of clients and alerts in the transactional monitoring mechanisms within the bank.
• •Review, organize, prioritize, and follow up on requests received from internal stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
• •Support the tracking and coordination of regulatory matters, ensuring documentation is complete and deadlines are met.
• •Develop and modify internal policies and procedures to cover the financial products and services offered by Banco Plata.
• •Conduct legal research and preliminary investigations to support the Legal & Compliance team.
• •Help identify applicable regulations and understand what actions are permitted under current legal frameworks.
