Description
What you'll do
- •Develop high-quality, maintainable, and performant code with a strong initial focus on the Next.js front end of our core product
- •Take ownership of development tasks across the stack, working as part of a collaborative agile Scrum team
- •Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- •Lead DevOps-related efforts as we scale toward AWS or Google Cloud
- •Propose and implement solutions to improve the product's performance, reliability, and maintainability
- •Conduct peer reviews and functionally test your own code to a high standard
- •Collaborate closely with product management and other stakeholders
- •Adhere to internal coding and documentation standards
- •Help evolve and improve our software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- •Actively engage in all Scrum ceremonies
- •Work cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, support, and operations
- •Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- •Provide technical mentorship and leadership to less experienced team members

Requirements
- •Legally eligible to work in the UK or Republic of Ireland
- •Access to high-speed broadband (>100Mb download / >20Mb upload)
- •10+ years of professional experience as a software developer
- •Strong expertise in TypeScript / JavaScript (ES6+), React.js / Next.js, Node.js
- •Solid experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- •Proficiency with version control, preferably Git
- •Experience working in a Scrum-based Agile environment
- •Familiarity with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- •Proven ability to operate in a self-directed, remote team environment
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills
- •Comfortable taking ownership of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- •Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent industry experience
