Description
TechOps Engineer responsibilities
- •Responsible for system uptime and integrity of customer systems - must be capable of building and architecting systems to maintain uptime
- •Documenting technical designs and creating training materials and documentation
- •Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
- •Managing installations, upgrades, and maintenance of deployments of Linux, virtual environments such as proxmox as well as containerized environments such as docker
- •Work closely with dev-ops to implement and scale-up automation of core tasks
- •Ensuring protection of data assets by maintaining strict security policies and guidelines
- •Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively
- •Work alongside TechOps, IT staff, IT Security and System Administrators
Requirements
Basic requirements
- •Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- •Expert system administrator for Debian based distributions
- •Expert in computer networks, hardware, support, IT security, and tools
- •Experience with multiple hosting environments (cloud, bare metal, VPS)
- •Experience with various Databases and SQL (MySQL preferable)
- •Experience deploying and maintaining systems in cloud based environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- •Highly organized, self-starter and detail-oriented
- •Programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ansible)
- •Strong and effective communication skills
- •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred skills & experience
- •Experience with emerging blockchain technologies
- •Passionate about the blockchain and Crypto space
- •Experience with mission-critical highly scalable systems
