Airbnb is seeking a Complex Claims Manager to protect the integrity of the Aircover platform by managing complex claims and risk strategies. This role involves collaboration with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery. Responsibilities
- •Manage, direct, and understand the impact of policies and product roadmaps on risk mitigation and exposure.
- •Review claims for significant losses with insurers on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- •Ensure expectations are managed with insurers and stay ahead of potential coverage or relational issues.
- •Manage claims affecting Airbnb Financials and the captive insurance company.
- •Develop a claims resolution plan for complex and significant losses.
- •Coordinate complex claims with legal, GCM, and trust services, as well as brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage risks and exposures in complex claims.
- •Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements regarding claims processing.
Conditions
- •Base pay range: $83,000 — $98,000 CAD annually.
- •Eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Requirements
- •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- •Strong knowledge of resolving complex claims.
- •Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- •Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and regions.
- •Strong negotiation skills and experience communicating recommendations to stakeholders.
- •More than 10 years of experience in insurance claims coverage and litigation, focusing on liability and property.
- •Ability to mentor others by simplifying complex information.
