Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering Responsibilities
- •Write and contribute code to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
- •Contribute unit tests and participate in peer reviews to maintain a high quality codebase.
- •Collaborate closely within a small agile team to plan, deliver, and continuously improve.
Platform, Reliability & DevOps
- •Ensure operational readiness of solutions, including performance, monitoring, reliability, and disaster recovery considerations.
- •Contribute across design, development, automation, and operational support activities.
- •Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and automated releases.
- •Continuously improve system performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and operational workflows.
- •Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD and automation.
- •Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Installs and Support teams to ensure platforms are production ready and well supported.
Work Arrangement
- •Role based in the Philippines.
- •Fully remote from anywhere within the Philippines.
- •Must have at least 6 hours of daily overlap with the Australian Eastern Time Zone (AEST/AEDT).
- •Flexible working hours outside the overlap period.
Required Skills & Experience
- •3–5 years of experience in DevOps or Software Development roles.
- •Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.
- •Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- •Hands on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- •Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- •Experience working with virtualised, containerised, or distributed environments.
- •Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration.
- •Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
- •Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- •Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
