What you'll do
- •Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs supporting KYC verification, identity authentication, and compliance workflows.
- •Lead the architecture and implementation of high-performance distributed systems capable of processing millions of global user verification requests.
- •Build and optimise risk assessment pipelines and case management systems supporting compliance operations.
- •Develop and maintain internal tooling and dashboards using React and TypeScript when needed, with a primary focus on backend engineering.
- •Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with third-party KYC/AML vendors and internal data sources.
- •Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions, with emphasis on backend, data processing, AI integration and security.
- •Improve system reliability, performance, observability and engineering efficiency through automation and best practices.
- •Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code while conducting thoughtful code reviews.
- •Continuously optimise system performance, scalability, throughput and developer experience.
