Responsibilities

  • โ€ขProvide proactive and solution-oriented legal and regulatory advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders within the Group in order to enable the development and launch of Crypto products and services in a way that meets our obligations as well as the needs of our users
  • โ€ขWork cross-functionally to identify, analyze and mitigate legal and regulatory risks (while maximizing commercial opportunities) related to the introduction of new products and services in Europe
  • โ€ขParticipate in the ongoing development of the regulatory advisory function
  • โ€ขRepresent Crypto.com on a variety of topics before regulators, financial partners, users and other external audiences
  • โ€ขReview, update and draft user agreements, and other external facing terms and conditions, leveraging external advisors and providers where appropriate
  • โ€ขWork with Risk, Compliance and Privacy teams across our global organization to assess applicable regulations and set corresponding company standards
  • โ€ขReview and advise on the development of external facing marketing and user content and user experiences
  • โ€ขSelect and manage external counsels, as appropriate

Requirements

  • โ€ขAround 2-4 years of post-qualification experience practicing either in-house (or in an equivalent setting) or at a reputable law firm, with at least 2 years of those years focused on either banking law, payments law, the FinTech space, or financial services in an international or cross-border environment
  • โ€ขAbility to provide legal and regulatory guidance on the design, modification, and geographical expansion of products
  • โ€ขComfortable with interpreting and applying the law in unsettled contexts
  • โ€ขStrong interpersonal and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgment, and work well with senior management and cross functional stakeholders effectively and proactively
  • โ€ขAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with effective resolution of conflicting priorities, and willingness to use innovative solutions to scale your legal advice
  • โ€ขPrior product legal experience in the technology or financial services space and/or working with strategic partners to launch joint product experiences recommended, but not required
