Staff Product Manager, Cloud Namespace & Capacity

Join Temporal as a Staff Product Manager to own the Cloud Namespace lifecycle, focusing on capacity management and operational policies for a reliable, cost-effective service. Temporal is a globally distributed, collaborative team that values opportunities for in-person connection.

• •Own the full Cloud Namespace lifecycle for an operator using Temporal Cloud.
• •Define and evolve differentiated Namespace offerings (e.g., higher/lower SLA, latency, durability, residency, and cost options).
• •Own throughput and capacity management for Namespaces (e.g., autoscaling, TRUs, reserved vs. elastic capacity, scheduling, visibility, limits, and quotas).
• •Drive operational policy and features (Namespace placement in deployment rings, replication, scaling).
• •Define and own Namespace SLOs and SLAs, including instrumentation and customer-facing communication of performance and reliability expectations.
• •Own the Namespace APIs & configuration used by customer automation, the Temporal Cloud UI, and other products and services.

• •Estimated salary range: $185,000 - $260,000, based on experience and location.

• •Occasional travel may be required for company events, team offsites, and other meaningful moments that bring us together.

• •Product leadership experience shipping and operating platform/infrastructure products.
• •Strong systems thinking: ability to translate workload needs into tiering, pricing, policy, quotas/limits, and defaults.
• •Comfort partnering closely with engineering on technical topics like autoscaling, capacity planning, rolling deployment and placement logic, and resilience patterns.
• •Experience defining and managing SLOs/SLAs and using metrics to drive product decisions and prioritization.
• •Ability to build alignment across stakeholders (Engineering, Cloud Ops/SRE, Support, Sales, Solutions, Security).
• •Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce crisp PRDs, decision docs, and customer-facing explanations.
