Key Responsibilities
- •Manage and deliver sales and use tax compliance and consulting engagements for a variety of clients and industries
- •Review sales/use tax returns and related workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance
- •Conduct nexus studies, taxability analyses, and exposure reviews
- •Advise clients on multi-state indirect tax issues, including audit defense and voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs)
- •Research and interpret state tax laws, regulations, and rulings
- •Identify opportunities for tax savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation
- •Lead and mentor staff and seniors, providing coaching, feedback, and technical development
- •Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
- •Collaborate with other tax and advisory service lines on cross-functional opportunities
- •Support business development activities, including proposals and networking efforts

Qualifications
- •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- •CPA, JD, or MST (preferred)
- •5+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax, with a focus on SALT / Sales & Use Tax
- •Strong knowledge of multi-state indirect tax regulations and compliance
- •Proven experience managing engagements and supervising staff
- •Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- •Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
- •Experience with tax research tools and compliance software
