Responsibilities

  • •The Mechanical Engineer designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.
  • •Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
  • •Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
  • •Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
  • •Exercises discretion and independent judgment in designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, parts, and assembly of product equipment, signage, and merchandising.
  • •Customarily and regularly develops solutions and performs prototype testing for product validation and design verification.
  • •Customarily and regularly creates and shares engineering data with cross-functional teams; including parts and assembly drawings, bills of material, and engineering change orders.
  • •Utilizes engineering principles and best practices in designing parts and assemblies for sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming, injection molding, and machining.
  • •Actively works on multiple projects, coordinating design tasks and timelines with management.
  • •May act as a point of contact for vendors.

Qualifications
